This nutrient-rich blend of shea butter is boosted by addition of antioxidant Manuka Honey and protein-infused Yogurt Powder and Yogurt Extract. Additionally, we’ve included deep conditioning oils such as Baobab Oil and Mafura Oil to create a fuss-free strengthening cream to naturally reinforce and revitalize over-processed, abused hair fibers. Restore, repair and maintain gentle to medium waves or curls with regular use of our proprietary hair-nourishing blend. It also works well on wig hair, and we recommend using it for deep conditioning a wig overnight for an easy-to-wear hairstyle.
WHY I PURCHASED:
Now are you a die hard fan of Shea Moisture? If you are, then you will understand why I would purchase it. If not, then let me into my thought process. Hsea Moisture is a great brand for natural hair. It is made with quality ingredients that are beneficial to the health of our hair. As well as, these ingredients are sourced without exploitating countries, workers, etc. So I picked it up. Also, I was in the need for a protein treatment and I always wanted to try it.
HOW IT LOOKS: Now it looks like a deep conditoner because it is one. It’s a deep ocnditoner solely for the purpose for addingprotiein to your hair instead of hydrating. It’s very thick so if you turnover the bottle no product will come out. This is good as you don’t have to worry about wasting the product. As well as, the scent is very fresh and sweet. It’s not an overbearing scent for those who may have sinus issues.
WHAT DO I THINK: So firstly, I applied the product to soaking wet using the praying hands method. The thickness of the product works well for my low porosity hair especially since it was damp. So the product was better able to be absorbed into the hair shaft. As well as, it softened the hair which made it easy to detangle my hair. Then, I let it sit for 20 minutes and my hair felt stronger after. `
FINAL THOUGHTS: This is a good protein treatment to have. It is a thicker product with quality ingredients that will help the hair. Now I don’t think it’s an overnight success
