MO KNOWS HAIR CURLS RESTORING TREATMENT

MO KNOWS HAIR CURLS RESTORING TREATMENT

Now I’m pretty excited to share about this product today.

And later on, you’ll see why.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

A collection to give you the best version of your curls by a licensed cosmetologist and healthy hair influencer, MOKNOWSHAIR.

 WHY I PURCHASED:

I’m not sure if know about Mo Knows Hair but she is a popular natural hair blogger/Youtuber.

She even went to Cosmetology school to learn the science about hair products So you can understand that I trust her judgement and knowledge when it comes to hair care. Recently she shared a video where she discussed the unimportance of conditioners. She shared that deep conditioners could do just as much and even more than our regular rinse-out conditioners. Let’s just say my jaw was on the floor after watching the video. Also, she said most deep conditioners say to use after shampooing and not conditioners. Do what I did and go and look for a deep conditioner in your stash and read what it says.

So, I decided to try her suggestion utilising her products.

HOW IT LOOKS, FEELS, and SMELLS:

LOOKS – The colour is a mix between peach and light brown.

Excuse me if I got my colour chart wrong (lol)

 FEELS – SEMI-THICK.

 Need I say more?

SMELLS – Like a salon product that is understandable given her background.

However, the product contains natural ingredients such as quinoa protein, mongongo oil, and

 mango butter

The product glides on like any deep conditioner and absorbs into the hair shaft.

I ensured that my hair strands were thoroughly coated using the praying hands’ method.

 Then, I detangled.

Point to Note: Mo recommends skipping conditioners.

Instead, using your deep conditioner to detangle and penetrate the hair.

And I let it sit for 15 minutes just like recommended on the packaging.

15 minutes my hair was hydrated, soft and tangle-free.

Now I know what you’re thinking, I only tried one time, so I won’t see the “True” effects.

Let’s just say I completed week 3 of 4 of this challenge, and I am loving it.

 FINAL THOUGHTS:

Do I recommend the product? 100% yes

Do I recommend the technique? 50% Yes – Do what works for you for your natural hair.

Only you know your strands the best from experimentation with products and technique.

You can probably tell that I can agree with MoKNowsHair technique of using deep conditioners only instead of conditioners. I do to a certain extent. I do believe conditioners serve a purpose in your natural hair routine. As well as, some companies ensure that conditioners have a lot of hydrating/moisturising ingredients after it was stripped by the shampoo.
