I am going to give you my lovely friends,3 tips we have picked up along the way to ensure a great hold for your lace wigs, frontal units.
Clean it up
The best way to ensure you have a very secure hold,is to remove any oils,sweat, and product build-up around your hairline. A lot people like to use alcohol/toner to clean the area. This also helps pervert the gel from become flaking and turning white AND GIRL when the gel starts flaking and turns white its GAME OVER. So make sure to do this step!
Build it up.
If you want to achieve maximum hold to secure your wig. You need to to build up your gel layers you need to apply 2-3 layers to get that great hold. This can be achieved by applying a thin layer of the gel and drying it completely. Once the gel is dry, you will go over the layer again.
Keep your cool.
Dry with cool air only, heat is not this gel’s friend. When you are using a blow dryer to dry your gel, you must use it on the coolest setting possible. GIRL let’s think about this for one min hot air promotes sweat, humidity, and moisture. not good for holding down you wig. So please cool air is definitely a must.
