Hi my lovely friends, I have lovely women today on my blog. I would like you to all meet Fiona she is taking over the ‘HAIR WHAT I’VE GOT TO SAY’ segment.

Her journey and reason for starting Finally Fiona began seven years ago, when she decided to start a blog (loveyourtresses.com) dedicated to healthy hair care, which tracked her hair growth as well as her transition from chemically treated hair to natural hair.I have been personally following her for years and was super happy when she said she would take part in my blog segment. she so inspiring.
Introduce yourself, what do you do?
Hi there! My name is Fiona. I’m a twenty something year old Business Development professional by day and Social Media lover by night, who is crazy about God, and has been blessed with a pretty epic husband!
What’s the favourite thing you love about the work that you do?
When it comes to Social Media and being an ‘Influencer’, I love that I can impact people by sharing what I’ve been through, the mistakes I’ve made and the successes I’ve had. I’m a huge believer in the notion of ‘sharing is caring’ and so I believe it’s my calling to share my experiences, and pray that people are empowered, inspired and blessed by what I share with them.
Are you natural or relaxed?
(is that your natural hair colour and texture) I’m natural. I transitioned from relaxed hair for 2 years and then cut my relaxed ends off in November 2013.
What are your go to products?
In no particular order, some Olive Oil Ecostyler Gel to keep those baby hairs laid! The TGIN Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner, because it doesn’t get better than that, and Shea Butter and Grapeseed oil to seal in any moisture added to my hair.
What is your all time favourite hairstyle?
It’s got to be some form of a bun, I live for how easy this hairstyle is, and love that it is also a low manipulation hairstyle. I’m not getting any younger so any style that is kind to my edges, is a winner in my books!
What are your 3 top hair care tips? 1) Keep your hair moisturised. Natural hair in particular thrives on moisture, be it moisture from deep conditioning or from a moisturiser itself. 2) Opt for a low manipulation regimen – avoid heat as much as possible, do not go overboard on hair styling e.g. combing, back to back weaves/wigs etc, they will wreck havoc on your hair in the long term.
3) Eat right and drink enough water. Your internal wellbeing affects your external features.
Do you have a hair routine?
Yes I sure do. I wash my hair every two weeks, which involves a prepoo treatment followed by cleansing and deep conditioning. During the week I moisturise and seal my hair every other day, and I oil my scalp too.
Describe yourself in five words?
Ambitious, Blessed, Goofy, Disciplined and Stubborn [I’m working on the last one!]
What helps give you inspiration/motivation?
Knowing that God always has my back, and that there’s nothing I can’t do without Him by my side. My husband and family are also a huge source of my inspiration and motivation.
What are the top 3 things on your bucket list? To be self-employed before I’m 30 To visit Jamaica To learn how to swim! (Don’t judge me!)
What made you laugh this week?
My husband sitting in our empty bathtub to watch me twist my hair up before bed
