Introduce yourself, what do you do?
I’m a 28 year old Londoner but I like to call myself a freelance fashion stylist, Mentor and content creator!
I am a huge advocate for team Girlboss and feminism but most importantly I aim to create a generation of ‘die-hard’ dream chasers!
What’s your favourite thing about your work?
I have loved fashion from the moment I could dress myself. I love that everyday/project is never the same and getting the opportunity to take a small idea and watch it grow is the most rewarding thing ever!
Are you natural or relaxed (is that your natural hair colour and texture)
Underneath my weave/wigs I’m a naturalista!!
What are your go to products?
If I had to survive on one product it would be coconut oil! But I have recently become really obsessed with one of my recent clients products which is Design essential natural ‘coconut oil and advocado’ shampoo and condiditoner set. its really good for maintaining my natural hair and my weave.
What is your all time favour hairstyle?
My staple go-to hairstyle is a middle parting with beach waves. I find that it goes well with my face shape.
What are your 3 top hair care tips?
Weaving your hair doesn’t mean neglecting your hair so
1. make sure you regularly wash your hair to avoid buildup
2. keep your scalp moisturised *itchy scalps are not attractive*
3. protect your edges from friction by tacking down your wig or lining it.
Do you have a hair routine?
Only when washing my hair.
detangling my hair with a wide-tooth comb
mining a bit of shampoo with conditioner and rubbing it in my dry scalp
rinsing and shampooing my hair
I apply different conditioners in the necessary areas in my hair – i.e. i get itchy in the centre sometimes so will concentrate a soothing conditioner there etc. and always leave on under shower cap for at least 15 mins
then rinse
Describe yourself in five words?
experimental
relaxed
positive
encouraging
versatile
What helps give you inspiration/motivation?
I couldn’t pick on thing as I draw sources of inspiration from different avenues. whether it is reading bible devotions, talking to family & friends and looking at my social media. This all motivates me to want to become a better version of myself and to do more on this earth than just exist.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
I’m a bot of a travel bug who hasn’t had a chance to leave the country for a while. But INEED to travel to thailand, Bali and I need to experience Carnival in Rio at least once!!
What made you laugh this week?
My niece just got her hair freshly cainrowed for her 10th birthday this week and she requested that extension hair was used for some length. Me and my sister silently giggled as we watched her swish her hair over her shoulders for the rest of the evening and dance in front of the mirror… oh – to be young again! She was really feeling herself and it was so cute!
